Lamp Work
John learned lamp working, a process of making miniature glass ornaments, from an old Art College buddy Jann Joot. They teamed up and sold their glass pieces in gift shops around Ontario and on the street in Toronto. Sadly Jaan is no longer with us. But John continues the tradition as one of the few lamp workers making glass animals left in Canada. The critters are all made individually, (no moulds), of strong clear borosilicate glass in a blowtorch flame.
